Big cherry…before and after cut

Big cherry…
Before the cut, the crown was closed, the lateral skeleton branches shaded the median, as a result there was a shadow inside the crown and most of the branches on the extension of the trunk were dry, there was shaving of the inner branches, most of the crop was at a great height at the end of the side branches, practically unharvestable.
By cutting, dry branches were removed and productive branches were supported. The skeletal branches were significantly shortened, the crown opened and the tree took the shape of a flat pyramid. A lot of light will now reach the crown, the growth of shoots in the crown will be supported, and the crop can be harvested at a significantly lower height.
That it was a really big tree is shown by the triple ladder stretched to the max. Just rub the wounds before the sap starts to flow. A properly treated tree will be healthy and we will significantly extend its life. Let’s protect and care for the old trees, these monuments of old times, they make the genius loci of gardens.
