Rosehip fruit wines are among the flagships of our winery. Typically we make them as ice wines. Depending on the weather the harvesting starts in January and ends with the beginning of March.
We handpick the rosehip in freezing temperatures, clean it, so that we eliminate any unwanted tones and process it with our unique way. The result of this process are luxurious wines with a sweet honey-like aroma, amber to orange color, in taste with tones of figs, dates and citruses. Every year and even every month the harvest results in a different wine. I would like to highlight the tones of coffee and dark chocolate in this wine. Both the rosehip, as well as our barrique rosehip wines combine beautifully with quality tobacco. Your afternoon smokes with a quality tobacco on the porch, accompanied by your four-legged companion or moments spent accompanied by your friends with a quality cigar, will be an unforgettable experience if it is combined with a glass of our rosehip wine. Smoke generally changes the characteristics of wine. With rosehip wine however, the individual nuances of the wine as well as of the smoke are highlighted. Skeptical? Try it.
